Aims

This scientific research program aims to characterize the quality of the environment (air, water, soil) and assess the presence of environmental and social health inequalities across the territories of the Hauts-de-France region(Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie).

Spatial and concomitant analysis of environmental, health and socioeconomic data will be used to determine whether the populations that show a poor state of health live in a degraded environment.

This program is also intended to be a means for the exchange and provision of tools, thus responding to the growing demand of territorial administrators for assistance in decision-making and the dissemination of information. Public health actors such as elected officials, public and private economic decision-makers, clinicians and associations seeking to improve prevention and raise public awareness can thus access condensed information about the monitoring of these inequalities.
